As a caring pet parent, you never want to see your four-legged family member in any kind of distress. Unfortunately, unexpected illnesses and sudden accidents are a part of life. At MuraBella Animal Hospital, we want you to know that you’ve got a dedicated team of experienced professionals in your corner.

Our hospital and team are equipped to provide life-saving critical care at a moment’s notice. With staff members who are skilled in emergency medicine, we can quickly diagnose the problem and deliver timely and effective care. Most importantly, we’ll handle your companion’s case with the utmost compassion, doing everything within our power to achieve a positive outcome.

Some of the signs that your pet may require urgent medical attention include:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Ingestion of a toxic substance or foreign object
  • Broken bones
  • Cuts, lacerations or puncture wounds
  • Vomiting or diarrhea lasting longer than 24 hours
  • Bleeding
  • Trauma, such as from a fall or being hit by a car
  • Swollen or tender abdomen
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Lameness
  • Disorientation
  • Foaming at the mouth
  • Convulsions/seizures
  • Loss of consciousness

If you notice any of these signs, seek help right away. At MuraBella Animal Hospital, we always recommend calling ahead at 904-940-9401 when an emergency occurs. This allows us to assess the situation, provide first aid instructions and prepare the hospital and our team for your pet’s arrival. Of course, should the nature of your pet’s emergency be too urgent for a phone call, do not hesitate to come directly in for immediate attention.
